Timo T Söderlund retired from business due to personal health challenges with acute aortic dissection type A. Since then, he has dedicated over a decade to global advocacy in aortic health, founding organizations and participating in numerous collaborative projects to enhance patient care, global understanding and research in this field.

Through his leadership and collaboration with healthcare professionals, he strives to improve patient outcomes and support those affected by aortic conditions

Research Interests

Timo T Söderlund is focused on raising global awareness and supporting research on aortic disease. His efforts are centered on improving diagnosis, treatment, and quality of life for patients with aortic diseases like acute aortic dissection type A globally. He has been involved in numerous initiatives to educate and empower those affected by this condition.
He collaborates with medical professionals, researchers and organizations on a pro-bono basis to improve understanding and treatment of aortic diseases.

Timo Söderlund’s research focuses on aortic diseases, patient advocacy, and AI in healthcare. His work includes:
Patient Advocacy: Published insights on patient experiences with aortic diseases. Studied the impact of COVID-19 on patients with or at risk for aortic dissection.
AI in Aortic Disease Education: Evaluated AI chatbots for vascular disease information. Explored AI tools like ChatGPT for educating patients and professionals.

Social Media in Healthcare: Developed a guide on how medical professionals exchange aortic disease information online. His contributions aim to improve patient awareness, healthcare communication, and AI integration in medical education.
