This case-control study examines the presence of thoracic aortic atherosclerosis in patients with BAV, providing evidence that these patients may be at higher risk for developing atherosclerotic disease in the thoracic aorta. The findings suggest that BAV should be considered a risk factor for aortic atherosclerosis.
