The Prevalence of Coronary Artery Disease in Bicuspid Aortic Valve Patients: An Overview of the Literature

This systematic review compares the prevalence of coronary artery disease (CAD) and its risk factors in bicuspid (BAV) and tricuspid aortic valve (TAV) patients. While initial findings show lower CAD prevalence in BAV patients, this difference disappears after adjusting for age and gender.
