Dr. Tan’s translational research investigates the molecular mechanisms driving cardiovascular disease. She obtained her PhD at the University of Amsterdam, studying cholesterol metabolism, and completed postdoctoral research at the University of Pennsylvania on aortic smooth muscle cell dynamics in cardiovascular disease. At the Amsterdam UMC, her research integrates large public datasets, clinical samples, and advanced molecular techniques to identify novel targets for patient risk stratification.
