AortaFIT: دراسة مشاركة مرضى اعتلال الأبهر

Overview

AortaFIT is a research initiative aimed at improving outcomes for patients with thoracic aortic diseases through a combination of lifestyle interventions, rehabilitation, and long-term patient engagement. This project focuses on empowering patients to take an active role in their health, promoting physical and mental well-being post-aortic surgery.

Objectives

Rehabilitation & Recovery

To establish structured rehabilitation protocols that optimize recovery after aortic surgery.

Patient Empowerment

To encourage active patient participation in their health management through lifestyle modifications and education.

Long-term Health Tracking

To monitor patients’ health over time using both physical and mental health metrics, identifying areas for ongoing support and improvement.

Methodology

Comprehensive Data Collection: Participants' health data (exercise capacity, heart rate, blood pressure, etc.) will be collected via questionnaires and wearable technology to track progress.
Personalized Rehabilitation Plans: Development of tailored recovery plans based on individual patient needs, promoting safe physical activity and improving cardiovascular health.
Digital Tools: Participants will use the TRAIN Health Awareness app to receive lifestyle guidance, track their progress, and stay engaged in their recovery.

Progress and Findings

Rehabilitation Programs: Initial programs show positive feedback with patients experiencing improved physical fitness and mental well-being.
Patient Feedback: Participants have reported feeling more empowered in managing their health and more informed about safe physical activity after surgery.

Future Directions

1
Clinical Trials
Expand the study to include more patients and test the effectiveness of digital health interventions on long-term recovery.
2
International Collaboration
Partner with global aortic surgery centers to enhance the scope and diversity of the patient data collected.
3
Education Resources
Develop a range of educational materials and support tools to help patients manage their long-term recovery and health.
